Salina Highbanks Speedway
Point racing resumes Saturday on Autism Awareness Night
Those furious dirt devils of the NASCAR Advanced Auto Parts Weekly Series are back at it Saturday April 26th to provide more exciting racing action for your enjoyment. Mother Nature gave the teams the weekend off last week and with that comes a bit more time to fine tune those race cars for the high-banked oval. Drivers with an opportunity to score back to back wins based on their April 12th outings are:
Mitch Keeter of Webb City MO. in B-Mods
Dalton Garrison of Collinsville OK. in Factory Stocks
Cole Holman of Locust Grove OK in Pure Stocks
William Avila of Moore OK. in RWD Trophy Cars
Anthony Smith of Claremore OK. in FWD Trophy Cars
Logan Brown of Hulbert OK. will look to repeat as well in the Super Stock division as he won the only Super Stock race held thus far at the Highbanks. That was back on March 29th. As usual, main gates will open at 5pm with racing set to fire off at 7pm. Finishline Restaurant also opens at 5pm and remains open up to one hour after the final checkered flag of the evening.
Looking Ahead
May 17th is the Allen Frailey Memorial with all the NASCAR Advanced Auto Parts Weekly Series divisions in action
May 24th brings Joe Duvall's Funkadelic Dirt Track and Honky Tonk Extravaganza to the Highbanks featuring the powerful modifieds of the USRA Heartland Modified Tour and the USRA American Racer Modified Tour in what shapes up to be a fantastic night of racing.
May 31st is Hollywood's A-Lister Clint Eastwood's birthday (Go ahead, make my day) and at the Highbanks, Bobber the water safety dog will be present as it's also Water Safety Night. The youngsters can take photos with Bobber and get tickets to attempt to win a free water jacket as it's all about the safety of our youth!
