4-State Dirt Late Model Series rolls into Salina Saturday Night
HEY RACE FANS.......
Check it out, those wedged body warriors of the 4-State Dirt Late Model Series make their one and only appearance at the Salina Highbanks Speedway for 2025 this Saturday night. Formerly branded as the Cash Money Late Model Series, the Missouri based 4-State Dirt Late Model Series will bring their powerful machines to the Highbanks for "Salute To The Veterans" night. All former and current military personnel will be admitted to the main grandstand FREE of charge to witness this thrilling event. Thank you to all the military personnel for your service to our great country. You are the best and the Salina Highbanks Speedway appreciates each and every one of you!
As the racing season continues its downward descent to a climax, the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Racing Series will once again provide racing fans for more side by side and car crunching action. If you were here last week, you saw that we crunched a couple of cars pretty good and thankfully, no injuries were reported. Just some bruised egos and wallets. The drivers of the Servpro of Mayes & Wagoner Counties B-Mods, Dawson Roofing Super Stocks, AmeriFlex Hose Factory Stocks, S&J Plumbing Pure Stocks and Colvin Aircraft FWD and RWD Trophy Cars will look to keep their racing machines off each other as best as they can. With very limited opportunities left to improve their position in the points battles or just to get that last shot of a season's best finish for accomplishment's sake, we will see how this all plays out. Tighten those chin straps!
SCRIBBLE NOTES:
PAYOUT SPLURGE
Heads up B-Mod pilots, if you didn't hear the word last week that was released, your overall payout has INCREASED. For any of the remaining events that have a car count of eighteen participants (or more), the feature winner of the B-Mod class will now receive $1,000 with additional finishing positions also paying extra as well so pull, drag, push or tow those cars to the track and make some extra scratch! (Total additional cash injected into the purse for these events is $1800.)
SWITCHY MITCHY
Webb City Mizzou's Mitch Keeter has had a hold of the points lead in the B-Mod division for a good part of the season. Keeter comes into the Saturday night program 70 points ahead of Justin Shoemaker from Inola Oklahoma. Keeter also currently sits in the 7th position for the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Racing Series National championship battle in the Division One class. He is only 42 points out of first place for that prestigious spot. Did you know Keeter was one of the 4-State Dirt Late Model Series drivers (formerly Cash Money Series) and was their champion in 2022 and 2023 before switching to B-Mods on a regular basis? We wouldnt fib about that.
MULTIPLE KINGS
The 4-State Dirt Late Model Series began operations in 2018. Of the 7 previous seasons, only Keeter has more than one title. The other throne sitters are: Jon Driskill (2018), Brad Looney (2019), Kylan Garner (2020), Cole Wells (2021), Dustin Atkinson (2024). Sawyer Crigler of Alton Mo. currently leads the 2025 title chase for the right to be the new throne sitter.
SOMETIMES GONE IS GOOD (for some)
These late model pilots coming to the Highbanks Saturday are likely glad that Keeter found another playground to play in with the B-Mods. There have been 7 series races at the Highbanks and Keeter has won 4 of them. One in 2021 and three in 2022. Other Salina eagle trophy victors are: Mike Bitner (2022), Jace Parmley (2023) and Sawyer Crigler (2024).
WE'RE WATCHING YOU
The 4-State Dirt Late Model Series has run 10 events thus far in 2025. Gunslingers to keep an eye on closely Saturday night are:
Sawyer Crigler #11 - Current point leader with 5 wins and 8 top fives.
Joey Smith #3 - 2nd in points with one victory and 5 top fives.
Dustin Tiger #9 - Rookie driver in the series. Third in points with one victory plus 4 top fives
Brandon Baldridge #13B - Fourth in points with 4 top fives.
Dustin Atkinson #4A - Fifth in points with 1 win and 4 top fives while only running in 8 features
Kadeen Cornell #50- Five top fives in 9 features started
It's going to be a great show this Saturday night so pack the kids, the neighbors kids and maybe grab the door to door solicitor as you roll out of the driveway (hey, it's about showing the sport to new viewers right?) and we will see you at the SALINA HIGHBANKS SPEEDWAY!
