The Place To Be Saturday Night!
May 4, 2026 Staff Report
If you attended the O’Reilly / NASCAR regional racing series program at the Salina Highbanks Speedway last Saturday night, you saw some good ole competitive short track racing on the Highbanks and if you couldn’t make it, no worries as we now reshuffle the deck as the drivers prepare for another round of speed-fest competition this Saturday.
The O’Reilly / NASCAR regional racers that are heading back to the racetrack are: Serve Pro of Mayes and Wagoner Counties B-mods, Ameri-Flex Hose factory stocks, S&J Plumbing pure stocks , Colvin Aircraft front and rear wheel drive trophy cars
We wish to wholeheartedly give a huge thank you to the Austin John Construction and the 11s Autism Awareness Racing Team for the added bonus cash in each division last weekend. It’s support like you provided that make our sport better. If you would like to participate in being involved on a race night in some fashion, contact the speedway office at 918.434.7223 or email us at: salinahighbanksspeedway@yahoo.com
2025 B-Mod champion Mitch Keeter, of Webb City Missouri scored his second win in as many events to start his title defense last Saturday. Dalton Garrison of Collinsville Oklahoma took his f irst win of the year in the factory stock division. Kyle Stephens of Tahlequah OK reigned supreme in the pure stock class. In the two trophy car divisions, Robert Lackey of Oklahoma City took the rear wheel drive win while checkers went to Joshua Deason from Colcord OK in the front wheel drive category
The Best Sporting Entertainment Value Around …….. 99 cars packed the pit area for O’Reilly / NASCAR racing action last week and we are looking to bust that 100 car mark. At the normal adult general admission price of 10 bucks, a 100 car f ield means the admission price is ONLY 10 cents per racecar to provide you with quality racing entertainment. For the kids and our military guests, you’re in your seats for 50% less so its about 5 cents a racecar for you!
You don’t get that kind of return on other sporting venues. This is why we say the Salina Highbanks Speedway offers you the BEST VALUE in sporting entertainment in the area! Come on out to see our O’Reilly / NASCAR racing action and we will deliver!
The forecast as of press time is highs in the upper 70’s - low 80’s, low humidity and NO RAIN! So gather the family, neighbors, co-workers, maybe a drag racing fan or two (they need to see more than 2 cars race at time for a change) and anyone else you can round up and come see us for some high speed furious racing action at the Highbanks!
