All American Modifieds Highbanks Debut Saturday
July 6, 2026
Staff Report
With the July 4th holiday now in the rear view mirror, the Salina Highbanks Speedway returns to action this Saturday night with the Highbanks debut of the All American Modified Series. This event is tabbed as the Highbanks Hustle and this new series for A-Mod class modifieds has had six different winners in seven races thus far this season. Arrowhead Speedway held five features over a single weekend back in March with Gary Christian of Broken Bow, Oklahoma and Talan Willis from Elizabeth, Louisiana taking wins on dual main events on March 13th. The main event features held the next night saw Willis, Tyler Wolfe (Fayetteville, Arkansas) and Henry Chambers (Baldwin City Kansas) all victorious in the triple main event program.
The last two events had Keith Hammett of Brookland, Arkansas score at Poplar Bluff Motorsports Park on April 10th and the next night, Chad Williams, who hails from Lake City Arkansas won at Old No. 1 Speedway in Harrisburg Arkansas. Other events on the schedule have been hampered by multiple rainouts. The main event will pay the winner $2,000 with a purse minimum of $500 to start the feature. The All American Modified Series utilizes a time trial system to set the field for their qualifying heat races and they have some say in how the features are lined up. To date, the series has averaged 43 cars per event.
The O’REILLY / NASCAR local weekly divisions are in action as well. Dawson Roofing B-Mods, Ameri-Flex Hose factory stocks, S&J Plumbing pure stocks and Colvin Aircraft front and rear wheel drive trophy cars will take to the ultra banked 3/8 half-mile. Mitch Keeter, Dylan Cantwell, Steve Freeman, William Avila and Austin Gammill are your current point leaders for these classes. For a complete look at the standings (and other information), go to the track website address listed below.
Cat is out of the bag……….
As was mentioned on the Highbanks social media page a few days ago, there will be a HUGE rear wheel drive trophy car (Interceptors) race to be held on September 26, 2026 and we mean HUGE! Sponsored by the great folks at Tim Chainey Trucking, this event will pay a humongous amount of $10,000 to win! Teams will not be required to have a NASCAR license for this very special event. Further details including a purse breakdown will be forthcoming soon so check in with our website and social media pages for the details.
We hope everyone enjoyed their holiday weekend and now lets see everyone hustle back to the track this Saturday for the Highbanks Hustle featuring the All American Modified Series! We would be honored to have you here with us for the AAMS series debut at the Highbanks.
