Salina Highbanks Speedway
O’REILLY / NASCAR Point Chases Continue Saturday
July 20, 2026
Staff Report
The Salina Highbanks Speedway will be sizzling with racing action this Saturday night as the O’REILLY / NASCAR weekly series point chases continue during this summer stretch. Dawson Roofing B-mods, Ameri-Flex Hose factory stocks, S&J Plumbing pure stocks and Colvin Aircraft front and rear wheel drive trophy cars will once again take to the super banked 3/8 mile oval. As the temperatures ramp upward, often the patience of a competitor goes a bit downward which can often present some very interesting on-track action to those soaking it all in. Whether it’s good close racing or spark flying fender rubbing or door to door banging at speed, it will all be exciting to see!
Last week's action saw Travyn Myrick of Watts, Oklahoma win his first A Feature of 2026 at the Highbanks in the Colvin Aircraft FWD Trophy Car division. Prior to last Saturday, Myrick’s best feature finish was a 6th at the Arrowhead Speedway on May 1st. Also congrats to Jasie Morrow of Locust Grove, Oklahoma who scored a win in the Colvin Aircraft RWD Trophy Car division. Morrow’s previous best this year was a 14th place spot at The Thunderbird Speedway on June 26th which came in the Crown Victoria class. Morrow’s two other Trophy Car events at the Highbanks each resulted in DNF’s for scores of 16th and 20th. So BIG congrats for your win last weekend Jasie!
In S&J Plumbing pure stock action, Kyle Stevens of Tahlequah, Oklahoma scored his third win of 2026. Stevens’ other victory grabs came on January 3rd at Arrowhead Speedway and on May 2nd on the Highbanks. Stevens currently sits third in pure stock points. Another driver snaring their third win of the season last Saturday is Dylan Cantwell of Salina, Oklahoma. Cantwell competes in the Ameri-Flex factory stock division and his other victory lane laurels came on April 11th and June 13th, both on the Highbanks. Cantwell is the point leader in the factory stock division.
The Dawson Roofing B-Mod division should probably be renamed Keeter’s Playground as Webb City, Missouri’s Mitch Keeter has scored eight times on the Highbanks in 2026. Keeter also has a win at Arrowhead Speedway back in March for a total of nine wins for the season. Needless to say, Keeter has a nice points lead for another track title as Keeter is the defending champion and also took track titles in 2018 and 2017 in the B-Mod class. On a side note, Dylan Cantwell is in second in points to Keeter as Cantwell is doing double duty this year.
