Pure Stock Summertime Shootout and Pit Crew Challenge.

As the Summertime Shootouts start and the temps start rising so does the action on the track. This past weekend had it moments of ups and downs and yet racing was at its best in all divisions. New winners emerged out of the Pure Stock, B-Mod and A-Mod classes.

After many attempts and close finishes Wes Swafford put the #5S into victory lane in the Pure Stock A main with a down to the last lap nose to nose finish at the line with past winner Nathan Campbell.

Grand National driver Jeff Metcalf after a few weeks off from the class brings the new Grocery Gitter back to the speedway and makes a run to the front and proves the car and driver are still a winning team!

Bobby Gilbert, a long time race veteran, picks up his first win of the 2016 season in the B-Mod division. This is his first time back in victory lane at the speedway since last season. Gilbert had a great battle going with Nathan Hagar until Hagar's radiator over heated cause a spin late in the race.

The modified class was not without its excitement as an early race indecent between Rasmussen and Tillison sent the crowd in an uproar and handed Brett Hansen the lead to the race. Hansen never looked after he took over and gained his first win of the 2016 season.
