It's Memorial Day Weekend this week and that means racing specials all throughout the country and right here at the Salina Highbanks Speedway, we have a great special for you. It is the return of Joe Duvall's Funkadelic Dirt Track & Honky Tonk Extravaganza featuring the USRA Heartland Modified Series along with the USRA American Racer Modified Series racing together for a modified showdown that will make the holiday weekend extra exciting!
In last year's 30-lap contest, it was none other than 'Big Daddy' Joe Duvall himself taking the win by holding off Trevor Hughes and Jared Russell for modified glory. In all, 45 tough and rugged modifieds tackled the highbanked 3/8 mile oval and with this annual event growing by the year, could the entry count topple 50 this time around? Also on the program will be: Servpro of Mayes & Wagoner Counties B-Mods, AmeriFlex Hose Factory Stocks, S&J Plumbing Pure Stocks, Colvin Aircraft FWD Trophy Cars and Colvin Aircraft RWD Trophy Cars. Super Stocks will have the weekend off.
This will be a GREAT VALUE as for this special, the general admission prices will only be 15 bucks! That's right, a swarm of top quality modifieds coming to the Highbanks for just $5 more than the normal Saturday night show and as ALWAYS, military general admission and kids 12 & under are only $5 so no upcharge for them! This is what we mean by a GREAT VALUE so lets see everyone in their red white & blue attire to honor our fallen heroes who gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country on this memorial holiday weekend. Load up the family and maybe stuff a neighbor or two into the car and head to the Salina Highbanks for the annual Funkadelic Dirt Track & Honky Tonk Extravaganza and let's get funky!!
