Salina Highbanks Memorial Event Saturday
June 22, 2026
Staff Report
The annual Salina Highbanks Memorial is on tap for this Saturday night as we honor and pay respect to all those who have been a part of the Salina Highbanks Speedway over the years but are no longer with us. Whether they were a fan, racer, track employee, sponsor or just about any other category that could be affiliated with the Highbanks, we wish to take this time to acknowledge what everyone of these people have meant to the Speedway.
The program will feature another weekend of O’REILLY / NASCAR local racing action and as the temperatures begin to escalate, so does the on-track racing action at the Highbanks. Set to compete for victory lane visits are the Dawson Roofing B-mods, Ameri-Flex Hose factory stocks, S&J Plumbing pure stocks and Colvin Aircraft front and rear wheel drive trophy cars.
Get your Salina Highbanks racing fix this weekend as the speedway will be shuttered on Saturday July 4th so that everyone can enjoy America’s 250th birthday with friends and family. The following Saturday (July 11th), we will return with the O’REILLY / NASCAR local racing series and then on July 18th, it’s the make up date for the 8th Annual Joe Duvall's Funkadelic Dirt Track & Honky Tonk Extravaganza modified event that was rained out back in May. This will be co-sanctioned with the USRA Heartland Modified Tour (HMT) and the USRA American Racer Modified Series (ARMS) series.
O’Reilly / NASCAR Division-1 National Points Update (as of 6.20.26)
Our local area racers are looking mighty fine against the rest of the nation in Division-1 points. Here is how some of our area racers stand at press time (all B-Mod drivers):
NASCAR National and Highbanks points leader: Mitch Keeter, Webb City, MO.
Second place: Dalton Ragsdale, Muskogee, OK.
Sixth place: Dylan Cantwell, Salina OK.
Seventh place: Justin Shoemaker, Inola, OK.
Seventeenth place: Racen Stacy, Muskogee, OK.
That's 4 drivers in the top 10 and 5 drivers in the top 20 nationally with NASCAR listing over 800 drivers with Division-1 points. Congrats to our area drivers and keep up the great success!
